Flood Protection Stations
Whenever there is a gradient from the drainage points to the sewer, a hybrid lifting station can be used as a backwater protection system. In normal operation, it uses gravity to drain water without any power consumption. Only in the event of backwater does it begin to pump the wastewater into the backwater loop, or directly back into the pipe down stream of the unit, so that the connected drainage elements can continue to be used.
At the same time, the integrated backwater valve prevents the ingress of water from the sewer into the building. Hybrid lifting stations therefore combine environmental friendliness and maximum efficiency with the advantages of a lifting station.
Hybrid lifting stations use direct drainage, the natural slope to the sewer. Wastewater is only disposed of by a pump in the event of backwater. This direct route is economical, safe and quiet because hybrid lifting stations work most of the time without power and always without interruptions in operation. They have significantly lower pump wear and only make pump noise in an emergency.
Hybrid lifting station Ecolift M
The Ecolift M is the clever alternative to a conventional lifting station. The hybrid lifting station pumps only when it is really necessary – in the event of backwater. Otherwise, the Ecolift simply makes use of the natural gradient to the sewer. This, of course, saves energy. Since it only rarely runs, it also does not need as much maintenance. It is also more reliable because it works without any power as it makes use of the gradient – unlike conventional lifting stations.
The Ecolift M is available in the nominal sizes DN 100 (Ø 110 mm), DN 125 (Ø 125 mm), DN 150 (Ø 160 mm) and DN 200 (Ø 200 mm) as well as for installation in an exposed drainage pipe or floor slab. The latter version is optionally available with a black or tileable cover.
Hybrid lifting station Ecolift L
In many installation situations – in both commercial and residential buildings – there is a natural gradient to the sewer. The Ecolift principle uses gravity to drain water without any power consumption. The Ecolift L hybrid lifting station only begins to dispose of the wastewater with the use of a pump and to secure the house against backwater in the event of backwater. It is inexpensive, saves energy and offers the highest level of comfort as pump noise is not heard during normal operation. This makes the Ecolift L the ideal solution for the entire basement drainage system in the case of natural gradients to the sewer system – for new buildings as well as for renovations.
The Ecolift L for free-standing set-up is available in the nominal size DN 150 (Ø 160 mm) as a Mono or Duo system (equipped with one or two pumps). It disposes of the wastewater either with a pressure loop or an integrated bypass system. Other accessories make the handling even more convenient – from the practical wall bracket to the optical alarm sensor.
Hybrid lifting station EcolifT XL
The Ecolift XL is a larger and more powerful version of the Ecolift. The hybrid lifting station is, therefore, ideal for commercial buildings and multi-family homes.
With a power rating of up to 4.5 kW, the Ecolift XL can reliably pump the wastewater away even working against the backwater pressure. Up to two motor-driven closure systems provide the closure to the sewer. However, this is only necessary in the event of backwater. In normal operation, it does not pump and instead makes use of the natural gradient.
The Ecolift XL is installed exposed or in an underground engineering chamber. It is available with various pump performance classes, some for a 230 V connection, some for 400 V. The variants with one motor-driven closure system are suitable for grey water and those with two for black water.
